First Years S430 Indigo Stroller

Does anyone have this stroller? If so what do you think of it? I am looking for a stroller that has the option to parent-face that is still a nice stroller but that doesn't break the bank.

Re: First Years S430 Indigo Stroller

  • It's not bad for the price point. There's also the wave stroller in which the seat reverses just by spinning around the handle and the seat also turns into a bassinet, which is really cool. I have the wave but I'm about to sell it because the roads in my neighborhood are too rough (the Bob can barely handle it)- I just got another parent facing stroller with air tires that will handle better in my hood.

  • I just got the Baby Jogger City Select for about $600 including a 2nd seat kit, bassinet, and child tray.  If you only want the stroller with the seat you could get this around $500 or less with discounts on sites like albeebaby or pishposh baby who often have 20% off.

  • I have a First Years Wave as well. I seriously considered the Indigo, but the Wave was a little more feature rich. It's heavier, but it makes an awesome mall crawler, and it won't have trouble going over dirt or some grass. Lots of bumps wouldn't be so nice, though. We liked the bassinet conversion, the telescoping handle (DH is 6'4") and the ease of changing the seat direction. It also has a really good canopy.
