and in lieu of a diaper bag, you wanted something more of an inexpensive, general messenger/large crossbody type of bag, would you prefer one that you could throw in the wash, or one that was wipeable?

 ETA: You have 4 kids, one of whom is a newborn, and you are looking for something that is both for baby, and general use.

Wipeable, I can't think of why I'd need to wash a messenger type bag...even if it had diapers in it.

Wipeable - it's quicker and you know you'll be needing that bag again before you can wash it...
