Do you use them? - I haven't started using mine yet, but plan on it since I've liked using them in the past when I would babysit.
Did you make yours? - We did. I just google searched how to make cloth wipes. We made like 3 or 4 dozen in a couple hours @ my moms.
What did you make them out of? All of ours are made out 2 layers of cotton flannel material, but I know there are tons of options of what to make them out of. This was just a simpler choice for us. Also we made the 8x8 size.
Are there any websites with good cloth wipe info? I'm sure there are, but I'm drawing a blank right now.

We didn't make ours. We use the Prince Lionheart Bamboo Warmies. They're a tiny bit fragile - a few have snagged in the wash, but overall, I really like them.
Not exactly. I use Kushies wipes, plus some of the junkier baby washcloths I got.
I use beat up prefolds when I'm low on wipes/washcloths.
Not sure what info you seek. If she wants to make them, just have her make something like a washcloth... it's especially nice to have a smooth side and a rough side, but absolutely not necessary.

I plan on making some and using them (because I'm cheap haha)
I don't have a website rec but I know somewhere I read that you can use a flannel side and a terry cloth side for tougher poops. I have some junk flannel and old towels so this works great for me, although I think I'm going to do two layers of flannel just because it's pretty old material, may be overkill though, I have no experience.
Are there any websites with good cloth wipe info? I bought some of mine from quilters nappies and she has some info about the ones she makes here.. https://www.quiltersnappies.com/wipes.html
What did you make them out of? At Walmart I bought an 8 pack of those thin square wash cloths. I cut them in half, and I store them dry in a ziploc baggy.
For cleaning solution, I bought a spray bottle. Water with a few squirts of her baby wash is all I need.
Works like a charm! I can clean more with one of those 1/2 cloths than I can with 1 or 2 sposi wipe.
I've made some of mine - I'm working on more though when I get the time, which is not very often. I don't serge them - I prefer them turned and stitched - they look so much nicer, even it takes a little longer. Until I finish making mine, I'm using the cheapy target washcloths, and they work pretty well. They just aren't near as thick or soft as the ones I'm making, and they aren't even close to being as cute!!
I'm making most of mine out of terry cloth on one side and flannel on the other, but I do have some that are just two layers of flannel. Most of them are about 8" square.
I bought the bamboo wipes from Prince Lionheart and they fall apart. I also find them bulky and they take up a lot of room in the wipe warmer. (I love using the wipe warmer, because then they are all ready to go).
so, I made some out of birdseye that I had laying around from Verybaby.com. They are 8" square, one layer and serged around the edges. Nothing fancy, but the birdseye is good at gripping the poo. I can also fit a lot of them in the warmer, because they are thin.
If I wanted to get fancy, I would do a layer of the birdseye for poo, with a layer or cute flannel on the opposite side for pee.

I can't think of any websites.
I use them.
I made some. I also use some cheap Gerber washcloths, and I bought some homemade ones. I like the ones I made best
I made them out of a barely-used flannel receiving blanket. Two layers, turned and topstitched.
Here are the directions I used:

SUPER easy.
