Crayons-jumbo vs large

I have a box of 8 large crayons for R, he loves to eat them! So gross!

Anyways, I wanted to get the jumbo instead after seeing them at TRU (Target didn't sell them). However I noticed the large are washable and the jumbo are not......um, why? Washable is a must, but a crayon that won't break so easy would be great! I am not interested in the Tadoodles.

Anyone know why the jumbo crayons are not washable?

I have no idea- I never noticed that.  The large one are pretty thick- they are hard to break.  When Eva was first starting to color, I found a really cool crayon thingy at Tops.  It's a yellow plastic circle with little crayon nubs all around it.  She loved it and it's great now for coloring in the car- no rolling crayons on the backseat floor!

That is SO cool! I love it! I wish we could find one before leaving for our vaca tomorrow. Do you think Target or Walmart would have it. Who was it made by?

We are getting her the triangular ones for xmas....I had always heard those are easier for them to hold than round ones.

Eve has colored on the walls/furniture with both the large and jumbo crayons and i haven't had any problems getting either off... and no problems with anything staining her clothes either.. you're right though that the jumbo don't say washable.. that is strange. I didn't notice that until I just checked now.
