Trying to Get Pregnant

Has anyone tried this?

I was doing a little reading on fertility problems and I came across a post on yahoo answers. They said to try Mucinex to increase CM and to also help men with their sperm being to thick. It was mentioned in the article to take it 2x per day.Have any of you herd about this or tried it. Is this something that  has it worked for any of you ladies!

TIA

  • I've tried it, and never really noticed a difference.

  • A lot of ladies here have used it. Just don't get the Mucinex D, just get plain old Mucinex, since anything else has psudefedrin (sp?) in it and will dry up your mucus instead of thinning it out.

  • I'd try and stick to a little more reliable source than Yahoo! Answers, but that's me.

Yes, there are some women who use this.  However I persoanlly am hesitant to use a medication for something other than its intended use.  You can also try drinking green tea,

  • Yes, I've been told by my OB/GYN that i need to take mucinex once a day, and after my husband's SA where we found that his semen is too thick - he is supposed to take 2 a day.

That being said - this was instructed to me by my doctor after infertility testing. I would not just take it upon myself to do it without being told I needed to.

  • I've tried it and noticed a difference. I did it 3x a day for 5 days prior to O, including O day. Make sure the only active ingredient is Guaifenesin, and drink a big glass of water with it.

  • I did it for my October cycle--I noticed a significant increase in EWCM, but as you can see I'm still here =/

We're definatley going to the docotors to have both of us checked out, just to make sure everything is working the way it should! I think my husband sperm is to thick as well. It seriously seems like as soon as he pulls out everything just falls out. Do you have any tricks that you've learned about help it stay in? Has it helped your husband?
