There is a place that will do a 15 min u/s, 4 pictures, a DVD of the u/s and tell us the sex of the baby for $89. I will have to be 16 weeks in order to do the u/s, which would be Dec. 20. I think it would be an awesome way to tell the family at christmas and in person!

Would you pay the money or wait til late Jan?

Do you think it is accurate at 16 wks?

$89 sounds pretty reasonable to me, and I think that would be a great way to tell family if you haven't already.  I guess if the money isn't an issue, I say go for it!

There is a place here that does 3D/4D ultrasounds for $120.00 and they say they can tell you the sex at 15 weeks. I asked my doctor this past week what the earliest they can usually tell by ultrasound and she told me also as early as 15 weeks.

I had my NT Scan today and the tech was able to "guess" that my twins are both boys. I'm 13 weeks and he looked at baby A and I was the one that noticed it. He didn't say anything, he just kept doing his scan and then told me that they are identical!! He took a look and measured baby B and at the end he said well I had a hunch, but I'm pretty sure... He asked if I wanted to hear his guess and he told me BOYS!! I know it's still early, but I saw the little turtle with my own eyes!!

Wow that is awesome! We have a dr. that does the same scan but not until like 26 weeks which ill already know by then and its $150.00 so you are getting a good deal! I have to wait til Jan I'm dying lol! I say go for it if that is what you want the price is right! And yes it should be accurate at16w especially being they can even see the little hair on the baby as well

IMO, I think it's a waste of money.  I would wait till your 20 week appt for the free u/s.  But I'm money conservative like that.

LOL are you married to my husband? That's what he's going to say. I think I'm most excited about the DVD, which my doctor doesn't do.

I say do it!  I am doing one next week and I will be 1 day shy of 16 weeks.  Mine is 75$ and pretty much everything the same as yours.  Hubby didn't want to do it, said he didn't want to spend money on that, but he is willing to spend that money of golfing .. . hmmmmm.  He said it was my choice and I wanted to do it, especially before Christmas.  If money isn't a problem, why not!  And part of what kind of sold my DH is that if they can't tell the sex at the time of the scan, I can come back for free until they can!

i would wait. as tempting as it is to find out early, all body measurements are more accurate at 20 wks...and more reliable. plus at 20 wks its free.

My cow worker found out at 14 weeks for $25 but I don't think she got all those bells and whistles. If the price doesn't bother you then go for it. It is too much $ for me.

Do it!!  We are doing ours at 17 weeks which will put me at New Years Eve....we are really excited to find out, but it is going to be hard to even wait until then!  I am so impatient this time around!  I think we are going to pay $79 for ours and get the DVD/pictures and so on.

I personally wouldn't get it at 16 weeks, b/c my anatomy scan is at 20 weeks, but if I were you and could get it right before Christmas vs. late January, heck yes I'd do it.
