diaper cream in prefolds?

My LO has a diaper rash (caused by diarrhea). We use BumGenius, and also cotton prefolds and cotton-flannel flats. I know I can't use rash cream in the BGs, but can I use Sudocrem or Penaten in prefolds/flats?
