Bone shaped cake, what do you think?

DS Birthday is puppy themed, I found this super cute bone shaped cake pan, I wanted to make DS smash cake in.  Hubby thinks it is a terrible idea because DS is a boy not a dog.  Am I missing something?  Do you think it is wrong of me to want to make him a bone shaped cake?

My first thought was that it was for a dog too, but considering the theme and that its a smash cake anyway I think you would be just fine using it!

I think it's adorable. I am throwing around the idea of a dog theme for W's 1st b.day too. We have dog and bone cookie cutters that M loves to use for cookies and playdough.  I say go for it, adorable!

I think it's cute.. I love me a theme though!  I'd probably go crazy and make a wee doghouse centerpiece and a cupcake tower shaped like a fire hydrant with red velvet cupcakes - sometimes I need an intervention when I get going.  

In general, I don't think boys get themes.

I went ahead and ordered it.  DH said he could live with it if I made it look like a cake and not a bone.  What he doesn't realize is I was going to order it anyway, but at least now he will be ok with it.
