I was going to make a "chore" chart for Joe (mainly for the mornings) and then found out via my perfect SIL that Melissa and Doug already has one.
Has anyone used it? likes? Dislikes?
TIA!
Ooooh I product raved this on FB and here almost a year ago. It's pretty awesome.

Lots of different types of responsibilities and they are at progressive levels so as they master easier responsibilities you can bump them up to more difficult ones.
They have pictures on the responsibilities so Maddie knows that at the top of her list this morning was brushing her teeth and getting dressed (and I add without complaint in order to earn a smiley magnet for the day). She can "read" the responsibilities before she can read the words.
They come with 2 blank responsibilities so you can make your own. Like signing your greeting cards. (just checking to see if you actually read this).
Different colored smileys seems to add another bit of fun and engagement. Maddie likes picking out the color of the smiley she just earned to go on the board.
The white board is both dry-erase if you want to use it for notes and such as well as magnetic, for holding all the smileys and other rewards while they are not in use.
Dislike:
it's heavy. I wanted to hang it on the cabinet at her level but it would rip a hole in the cabinet - it's either solid wood or mdf. I ended up using an over-the-door-hook on the door from the kitchen to the utility room and hung it from that.
It used to be reward enough to get a bunch of smileys. When that wore off, we said if you get X# of smileys you get a prize (and i have all sorts of stuff from the dollar bin at Target to qualify as a prize). Right now she has to have 25 smileys at the end of the week to get a prize. She enjoys counting her inventory at the end of each day. There is the opportunity of I think 49 (7 days and 7 responsibilities) smileys per week.

We have it and liked it a lot at first but don't use it often right now. the main reason we used it was to potty train, take a bath without a fight, and also go to bed/brush teeth without a fight. It really wasn't for chores. So far, there's no really an issue or topic that causes too much headaches for us, but if there ever was, we would do the chart again.
