I just had my 12 week check up tonight. Didn't get to hear the heartbeat but got to see the baby instead on ultrasound. Everything looked good and the doctor estimated a heartbeat around 140.
Anyway...the office is making me do a urine collection on the morning of all of my future appointments. They'll be testing for protein and sugar in my urine. I know this is common later in pregnancy, I'm just curious how many of you have doctors that are starting the collections earlier. It's just one more thing to try and remember to either do or bring with me to the appointment.

This. It's when they suspect preeclampsia that they have you do a 24-hr urine collection. Otherwise pee in a cup each time I'm at my doctor's.
With my old OB, I never got tested for proteins. They figured that if I had other symptoms of pre-e that they'd test then
But from what I've heard, my doctor definitely was not the norm. It sounds like most have to PIAC at every appointment
No, in the office.

BFP!! 8/29/16 --> EDD: 5/11/17....it's a GIRL!!!
That's exactly what I have to do. It's going to be such a pain. I don't know how I'm going to when I have an appointment after work. I don't think my co-workers would appreciate my pee chilling next to their sandwiches in the fridge.
You could put it in a lunch bag, and really creep out any snoopers.
That'll teach 'em!
I can't believe they don't just let you pee at the office. I get weirded out when I have to carry my cup from the bathroom to the nurse, I wouldn't want to carry it from work!
If it makes you feel any better...You can probably leave it in your car at this point as it's cold enough outside!
