A neighbor's daughter is named this and it got me thinking. I actually hate birds because they frighten me but I kind of think this is a cute name. We have a long-ish last name so I like one syllable first names. What's even better is my DH didn't instantaneously veto it.
What do you think? Too weird?
Re: Wrenn
It's not that weird. I prefer the spelling Wren, and I think it's a pretty, soft, nature-y name.
I have to admit it's a little odd that you would use a bird name if you hate birds, though.

This. Wren(with just one N) is our girl MN choice, but a big part of our reason is that I'm a bird geek, and have been for years. It seems funny to me that someone would use a word-name so closely related to something they dislike/fear; a traditional name with it in the meaning, sure, but it strikes me a bit like someone who's afraid of heights naming their child "Cliff".
I love the name Wren!
I also knew a girl named Wrenna, so maybe that could be an alternative if you don't like birds lol
I like the name, Wren, but this spelling is awful...what on earth is the purpose of the two Ns?
It's also the bird name of choice right now...similar to how Robin was a few decades ago.

I appreciate all the opinions. I only mentioned my dislike of birds because I find it ironic/funny that I would still like the name and I honestly don't care about the meaning of the name as much as the sound and flow.
Thanks again!

His name was actually Ren, which is Japanese. (My BIL was named after the character)
