what to put on DD chapped cheeks?

The weather is starting to get really windy and cold out. I noticed today that my DD cheeks are starting to get chapped. They aren't real bad yet, but I was wondering what do you put on her cheeks to help with the cracking and chapping. I read it in one of my parent magazines but for the life of me I can't recall what it said. I figured you ladies could give me some advice. Thanks,

  • Lansinoh.  The BFing stuff.  Works awesomely & totally safe if they eat it.  I even use it on my own chapped lips.

  • Our dermatologist swears but Cetaphil cream( in the skin care aisle in a round tub).  Nice thick lotion that the skin absorbs well.  It was the only thing that cleared up DD's eczema and is now the only lotion we use in our house.  I find aquafor to be really greasy and messy and not as effective as the Cetaphil.

  • I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Lotion, since I already have it. I have SUPER dry skin and it works wonders for me.  Plus, I know it won't make her break out or anything. It's also not greasy and dries quickly.

  • Aquaphor! My nanny lathers my little doll with this stuff everyday before they go for a walk and her cheeks are soooooo deliciously soft.
  • We've been using Vaseline, too.  We put it on DD's cheeks every night at PJ time.  It works great.

  • I remember when my little brother had that problem.  My mom used to whip out her Avon chapstick.  Worked great.

  • Vaseline is what they gave us at the hosptial before DD came home when her skin was so chapped and dry it started to bleed. It cleared it up right away! I also read aquaphor (sp) was good for really dry skin.

We use this every night after her bath and it works very well.  Smells great too!
