My dresser/changing table has a strap with a buckle on it. It came with a thin pad that was buckled in. Is the buckle to keep the pad on... or the baby on? Either way it seems really uncomfortable and it's right in the middle. I really don't see the point of it either way, can i tuck it underneath the pad?

Re: Silly question
The strap is for the baby. I just tucked it away with DS and didn't use it because I was standing right there with him. I think I may have used it once when I had to walk across the room to grab something.
The strap that buckles is for the baby. Ours also came with 2 other straps that are nailed into the back of the changing table so that it doesn't slide.
Well this one the straps are connected to the table, not the pad. I thought you always keep one hand on the baby, so why would you need a strap? But what do I know, I don't have a kid yet
Anywho, thanks ladies!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh okay. lol I know someone on the tri boards would probably be shocked that you actually have to keep one hand on the baby. Obviously people forget or else there wouldn't be the warnings on the products.
