What's a good point & shoot camera that isn't $$$$$?

I have a Canon PowerShot and can't stand it--the photos are always dark and grainy, and so is the video, regardless of how I mess with the settings.  I had a Sony CyberShot years ago that I loved, but it got ruined.  I'm too lazy to study up on different lenses/programs/techniques so I don't want a super-fancy professional-grade camera...just something that takes nice, clear photos and costs, say, under $350?
