vReader vs. iXL

I like the idea of an eReader for Lucas, but I'm not sure which one to get.  I really like vTech stuff, so I assumed I would love the vReader, but it seams like there are a lot of buttons and modes that may be distracting.  But it comes with 6 free downloads.  Then there is the Fisher Price iXL, which seems a lot more simple, and I like the option to put mp3s on it and his own pictures.  Does anyone already have one of these and can give a review?
