Two Under 2

A day in the life

This AM started out with DS crabbing because DD1 got snowman peeps in her shoe and he got Christmas trees and he wanted hers, then he was whining about not liking his other candy so I took it all away (can't stand his spoiled attitude sometimes and he needed to learn a lesson).  Then while I'm feeding DD2, DD1 loses her  balance as she's getting out of the chair and falls and bites her lip which is now bleeding, I put DD2 down to take care of DD1 and DD2 starts screaming as well, AWESOME.  Later DS finds a moldy bun in his backpack (his fathers idea of a snack to send to school...wth) and goes to throw it away.  He leaves the gate to the kitchen open while I'm busy cleaning DD2's explosive crap off her back and trying to get off the clean outfit I just put on her 20 minutes earlier that is now full of poo.  DD2 sneaks in there and starts to play and starts throwing daddy's snacks in the garbage and then tries taking out the moldy bun. When I get her off of that and go back to DD2 who is naked and cold now, DD1 gets ahold of a coke can and drinks/pours it on herself.  Meanwhile we have 10 minutes to get in the car to get DS to school and I'm still in my pjs and both girls now need a fresh set of clothes.

Then on the way to school DS informs me that daddy got pulled over the other day while they were driving.  He said that he got a ticket for not having his seatbelt on but it didn't seem fair because people in the front seat don't have to wear seatbelts according to daddy.  Also that it doesn't matter if daddy gets a big ticket anyways because Uncle Kenny is a police officer and he will just take care of it and tear up the ticket.  Seriously need to have a talk with my ex husband about this!  Grrrr.  Did I mention I forgot his snowpants and had to drive an extra 15 minutes there and back to drop them off so he could play outside for recess?!  Both girls have just fallen asleep and now I need to wake them up to go pick him back up.  FML today seriously.  I've always hated that expression but days like these deserve that phrase.  I'm opening a bottle of wine when DH gets home.  Onemoregirl-out.
