first pp period - already?!

seriously???!!!   

i started having some bright red bleeding on saturday, and i thought at first it was some more pp bleeding, except i've been only lightly spotting for over a week now.   and yeah, definitely a period.  ...it hasn't even been 4 weeks!!  boo!

i thought with the bf'ing, i was hoping not to get my period for a long, long while.  sigh.  

i guess on the positive side (re maternal benefits of bf'ing), i'm now below my pre-pg weight, and comfortably fit back into my "fat" jeans.  haven't tried on my "skinny" jeans yet.  

sigh.  if i had to choose, i'd rather not get my period yet and keep wearing yoga pants

Mine came back pretty much at 4 weeks too (although I wasn't Bfing).  The good part was, I felt like I was predictable again!

My pp bleeding lasted for 6 weeks, and I got my first period 4 weeks to the day after that. It blows.

wow, already?!? are you sure it's not just more pp bleeding? mine kinda went on and off and the only reason why I was sure it was just pp bleeding is because it'd come back with a vengeance every week after trailing off at the end of a week...and it'd keep doing that for 4 more weeks, hence making my pp bleeding last a total of 2 months.

wow, you bounced back quickly too! I still can't fit in my skinny jeans without the bella band ...well it fits, but it's NOT comfortable so I can't help but use the bella band every time =P I usually avoid wearing my skinny jeans now...heh

i'm pretty sure it's not more pp bleeding...we'll see i guess?  i was wondering about that too, but it definitely looks like a period, not like the bleeding i was having right after delivery. 

and if this means i'm regular, that would be good - b/c prior to getting pg, my cycles were all over the place!  that's why i loved charting - not only b/c it was probably the only way we'd get the timing right, but also b/c it was the only time in my life (while not on bc) that i knew when my period would show up!

did you check with your MW?  I  remember getting a paper with my discharge stuff that talked about the phases of lochia and it said you should call if the bleeding turns bright red again.  Not sure if they had a timeframe (i.e. that only applied to the first couple of weeks).

I had off and on PP bleeding for 6 weeks (was still wearing liners at my 6wk PP appt) and often looked at that paper b/c I didn't follow the red/pink/tinge spectrum but also didn't think anything was too out of the norm crazy.

My discharge papers said the same thing about calling my OB if it turned bright red again after turning brown/yellow.  I'm just about 7 weeks pp and still have some yellow/brown discharge, but it never turned red again.
