my MIL keeps blabbing the news!

We decided to tell ONLY our immidiate family that I am pregnant. I lost my last pregnancy at 6 weeks...so I am VERY apprehensive (we told nobody last time).

so I get a FB message AND a phone call from 2 of my DH's cousins congratulating us.... either mY MIL or FIL blabbed the news. My SIL is actually due the SAME WEEK as I am .. she chose to tell a LOT more people including cousins etc.

I am upset....I said to my husband that they are telling them if I lose the baby not me!

Ugh!  We are telling the immediate family this weekend (assuming the u/s is OK) and we will have to emphasize to keep their mouths shut for another 6ish weeks.  I'm a lil worried about my mom b/c I don't want her to even tell my uncles/aunts, etc.

We chose to tell our immidate families this time around before hearing a heartbeat or anything b/c I would tell them if we suffered another loss. however, we emphasized we DID NOT want ANYONE else to know...family, friends, etc. We will tell everyone when WE ARE READY! I really don't want anyone else to know until the 2nd tri

Yea I would tell them if we had a loss but we also wanted to tell them in person if we could and we will this weekend.  DH was really apprehensive about telling our moms right when we got our BFP for that reason.   Esp. since it'll be the first grandchild on both sides we knew they'd be so excited but hopefully when they know how early it is, they won't say anything.

I'd be FURIOUS.  I actually had a loss last time (also at 6 weeks) & my parents told the entire family why I was in the hospital (even though I hadn't announced the pregnancy yet).  This time only DH & I (as well as my mom) will know until I find out the baby is in the right place & I pass 12 weeks.

My family's about like yours they blab everything.

We did say "Don't tell ANYONE"..... but they are from italy and there is sometimes a communication gap

that is so frustrating!  I had similar issues first time... and haven't said anything yet this time!  I plan to tell them in 2 weeks after 1st dr appt... i hope she will keep her month shut for a couple weeks then after than i wouldn't care.
