Zofran = Constipation

I've been taking Zofran for a few weeks now, just at night, and I think it may be the culprit for my first time ever being constipated. This is not fun at all. I left my drug info sheet at home, so I just googled the side effects and constipation is the first side effect listed. Oh crap, or heck since I literally can't crap. Anyone else taking Zofran and having trouble having a good poo?

It does hinder my ability to go! I try to take it as little as possible. I generally take it during the week only, unless it gets so extreme I can't handle it on the weekend, or if we have to go somewhere. That way I at least get some regular pooping on the weekend. I've found that Activia helps and eating oatmeal, drinking a Chai Tea now and then helps things get moving as well. Chai Tea (K-cup) has only 23mg of caffeine per serving.

 Yeah, I think I'll only take when absolutely necessary, at least until we get back and I have things to help give me some relief.  I actually did just go and I think I got it all out, FINALLY!  I feel so much better!  I called my doctor to see what she suggested and she said fruits, veggies, and water.  So I made Jello with pears and have been eating a ton of bananas and sliced/peeled apples.

You may want to start taking it on an "only as needed" basis (unless every night you feel sick). I know that pregnancy doesn't help with the crapping either... I'm not taking Zofran and I've been constipated already a couple of times.

I never put the two together, but YES! I was taking suppositories before zofran and they were making me go, so I though the suppositories had been curing any constipation I had been having.

It's been the worst of my life. 

If I don't take zofran, I can't function. Not that I can really function on it anyway.
