so my boyfriend and i were talking about my due date today & we think they got it wrong....i mean it was our fault too, but i never really had any reason to keep up with my period. so here's the question...could my doctor be like a month off? my due date is january 30th as of now, but at 28 weeks the baby was already measuring big....and i know she's dropped, but can my doctor seriously be a month off? when i found out i was pregnant i was already almost 2 1/2 months [so they said, but that's to be questioned as well]. any advice!?!?!?!
Re: did my doctor give me the wrong due date?
Seriously though, no. I don't think your doctor could be an entire month off.
Since you are 28 weeks and I assume you have already had a minimum of one u/s I doubt your OB would be off. From what I understand u/s measurements are more accurate in the earlier stages of PG but when you had your 20wk scan I am sure they would have been able to tell if you were 24wks instead. Your LO would have measured ahead of your EDD to begin with.
Your LO could just be a big baby and as far as your LO dropping, that doesn't necessarily mean anything. My LO has been low since 26 wks and other women who are almost as far as you also have noticed a drop as well (per discussions my month board).
Hey guys. Re-read. She's 32 weeks not 28. Baby was big at 28 weeks.
When did you have your first US?
I'm not sure about size telling you you're due date is off. Sometimes baby has a growth spurt and you measure ahead or its a big baby.
The dropping thing has nothing to do with due dates. My DS dropped the beginning of Nov, my EDD was Jan 10, he was born Jan 9. You just walk around (or waddle) more uncomfortable but breathing is easier.
