Re: For twin moms already....

  • DH and I are both pretty outdoorsy/active, so we just use an old North Face backpack that I had. It's rugged enough to withstand anything, really roomy, and DH doesn't mind carrying it. If anything happened to it, I'd probably get the same thing again. If I'm going someplace with the babies that would require a fancier bag, I have a few nice leather totes that I'd use instead.

  • We like our Diaper Dude pretty well.

When they were younger, we mostly used the Sienna backpack diaper bag from BRU. I like that the insulated bottle pocket was big enough to fit two bottles. Eventually I felt like we needed a little bit bigger bag (as their spare diapers and clothing changes got bigger ;)) and I like the messenger style, but it served us well the first year.

  • We use the Skip Hop Messenger bag everyday stuff. I love the stroller clips, I looked at the Duo Deluxe and thought it was too big so we went with the messenger instead. One the weekends when I'm carrying sippy cups, snacks, my wallet, etc. I use a Coach diaper bag.

  • I have a Skip Hop Via Backpack that I like.  I didn't get it until DDs were almost a year though.  I really like that it has a separate diaper section because I don't like have the changing pad in with food stuff (call me weird).  It also has bottle holders on the outside which are great because they work perfectly for sippy cups now.  It doesn't have any insultated areas, but that wasn't an issue for me because even when they were little I just mixed formula on the go as opposed to taking anything with me.  I'm actually a big minimalist fan though.  I seldom take my diaper bag in stores and when they were little just used one of the little Similac bags the hospital gave me.  I generally had/have a backup bag in the car with more stuff though.

  • I have a PPB boxy backpack, that I like when I need my hands free and nothing falling off my shoulder, but this is by far my fave (got it for $20 the other day):

We have the backpack too and I love it. Its so easy to use and very roomy.

  • i like a huge bag- and have 3 kids (even though one is not in diapers anymore i still need to carry an extra pair of underwear/pants for him just in case).

I am currently using the Skip Hop Duo Delux - and love it -lots of pockets to keep everything neat.

I get a new bag ever season or two - since i don't buy purses anymore.... i have had quite a few diaper bags... some expensive, some super cheap - liked them all.

www.pinningtonbags.com is one of my favorites if you are looking for a splurge -they are beautiful.

i also saw some really nice looking ones at Target the other day!

  • I have a Coach diaper bag. Honestly, it's perfect. Not too big but fits tons of stuff. If I am going to be gone all day (ie, more than 1 bottle out...) I will bring an additional 'food bag' though because there isn't a heck of a lot of room for bottles... GL!

  • I also use my old Northface bag. Its works great for us. When I'm just running a quick errand, I use the free Similac bag the hospital gave us. I'm not a bag/purse person though.

    This!!  I LOVE IT!!

  • I had a Carters messenger bag that I used for the first few months.  Now that everything is bigger (clothes, diapers) and I carry small toys, I LOVE my Skip Hop Duo Double Deluxe.  I don't carry a purse, I keep all my stuff in there too.
