This might be old news at this point, but through today (Sunday), Pea in the Pod is having a sale where you get $20 off $100, $50 off $200, $100 off $300.
I didn't know about the sale and when I went in the store last night to make my *first* maternity purchase, I got a great suprise when my 7 Jeans were $50 off!
They were a splurge but they fit amazingly well and I'm even more excited for my bump to appear and to have to start wearing maternity. I might go back today and see what else I can find...
Re: PSA: A Pea in the Pod
Mmmm...cake!
Oh wow! Thanks so much for posting this! I was planning on holding off buying them until I really needed them, but with the discount I'm going to buy them now. They NEVER go on sale!
Different strokes for different folks. I don't wear Gap, Old Navy, Kohl's, etc jeans non-pregnant, I've always just planned on buying the same type of clothes for maternity.
I bought two pairs of $100 jeans, and I make no apologies for it. I wear them almost every day, and they were the only ones I found that actually fit me. IDK why everyone gets their panties all in a bunch about what someone else spends on maternity clothes. I have friends who owned 10 pairs of pants at $20 each, and that's the same amount of money overall--if you can find cheap stuff that fits and you're comfortable in, more power to you--but don't judge those who can't or simply don't choose to.
Exactly! Quality over Quantity for me,
Also Pea in the Pod has buy one get one free on their basic 3/4 length t-shirts, which are so comfy. I bought 6 of them, 2 maternity bras and a pair of dress pants for less than $200 after all the discounts.
Too bad I had already bought my Joe's Jeans a couple weeks back because I knew I would be wanting them.
I am so mad I did not see this earlier!!
I spend 100+ on my normal non-preg jeans, and since I stay at home, I live in jeans most of the time. Why would I not invest in pregnancy jeans. I could see maybe if this was my last or only pregnancy, but I hope/plan to have 2 more so these will certainly get their share of wear.
I bought a pair of jeans from Motherhood for $40 and I don't even think they were worth that much. They stretch out the elastic in the band is only tacked in one place...yuck. And the ON pair I have is only long enough to wear with flip flops which is not an option in winter months at all.
I guess I just look at clothes as more of an investment. And lets be honest about the time line...I have 6 months (or a little less) left of pregnancy, and have no illusions about the fact I will not be in my pre-preg jeans leaving the hospital. lol
I am with you.... This girl ain't made of money!
