Can I use chapstick on my 3 yr old?

My ds has very dry lips realy red on the bottom lip too.  What can I use to prevent them from cracking and bleeding?   Is he too little for chapstick?

Shea butter or chapstick would work.

Aquaphor works wonders for chapped lips. My DS asks for chapstick just about every time I use it and I let him.

I've read as long as the child is over 2 it is fine, I guess so they dont eat too much of it.

We use it often for our 2.5 year old.

I will use whatever lip balm I have in my purse on DS without hesitation, but if you can find Boudreaux's Baby Kisses, get some. It's so nice and soft and only about $3.

I use chapstick on my 2 yr old. 

I was babysitting my friends 5 month old the other day who has a horrible chapped rash from teething on her face. It's all around her mouth. I couldn't think of what to put on it that she wouldn't get in her mouth. Than I thought what about Lanolin cream for breastfeeding? Worked out great & she started feeling better.  So if you are worried try some of that.
