We have our top 5! (clicky- please vote!)

We have narrowed down our long list of names to our top 5 choices... James will be his first name, but he will go by his middle name. Now, before you judge and say "Why are you going to name him something that you never intended to call him" hear me out. I always felt that way too, but DH is the 10th or so in a very long line of James' in his family.. It is a very steadfast family tradition and I don't really have a choice in the matter. I am happy to honor the tradition because I know that it will make him and his family happy. DH also goes by his middle name and would like our son to also. So, while it is important that the middle name flows with James, please focus more on the middle name as this is what he will go by in his day-to-day life... TIA!!!

Your DS is Asher, correct? I think Colton works best with Asher although I like Reid from the list but its too short with James as the FN.

I really dislike:

Kane - No matter how you spell it, its still the first murderer.

Ryland - A home builder.

Cade - Does not sound good with James.

I've heard a few Rylan's suggested on here for girls so I wouldn't go that route either. Do you like just Ryan? Asher and Ryan sound fine together but Ryan is pretty popular. Are you open to any other options? With brother Asher I like:

I tried to stick to in style but not "trendy", two syllable names. Not sure if they're your style though. I think James works with anything but I think you need a two syllable name in the middle.

DH vetoed Tristan and Emmett- they were on my list, DH's name is James Wesley III.. He doesn't want little man to be the 4th... I am not a huge fan of any of the others for one reason or another. DH likes Rylan but I did tell him there would be a chance of a girl in his class with the same name.

My first one was so easy to name! Why is this one so hard?!?

Rylan/ Ryland might be my #1 most hated name right now.

I know you said he doesn't want the forth, but there are some pretty cool nicknames for IV's. I actually know a guy called "Forth" which sounds weird when I type it, but fits him.
