Hello everyone!
Yesterday marked a new development in my pregnancy - I felt these sharp stabbing pains a few centimeters under my belly button - they scared me and shocked me as I never experienced anything like that before. Now, many hours later, I feel random stabbing pains around my belly, but mostly in the area just above the bone 'down there' where I imagine my cervix is (?)
At first I didn't think much about it - maybe the baby is playing with the umbilical cord and kicks me in strange ways, but now I'm getting a bit tired of it as it just doesn't stop.
Have any of you experienced anything similar at around 24 weeks of pregnancy?
Re: Sharp stabbing pain around my belly
I'm also experiencing an overall 'weird' feeling in my vagina. It feels warm and strange
Just had a contraction that lasted for a while, but wasn't painful.
Just all these alien things happening to me are really freaking me out ... I don't have an appointment with my midwife (who is btw not a medical doctor) until the 7th of december, so basically a week away. Do you think this is something I should call someone about? I read on the internet that the pains might be just round ligament pains that start around the second trimester, but maybe I"m just worrying too much, but I just feel strange as if some sort of a change occured.
Well I don't think the cord would come into play (it's not attached to your belly button or anything like that, of course.) But this sounds like normal growing pains to me.
They are unsettling, but I think just part of the deal.
