While watching Glee last night, DD1, DH and I busted out into a spontaneous dance party. DD2 was sleeping in the swing. It was so much fun, and really awesome to see DD1 laughing and enjoying dancing with us. It was really a moment I want to remember forever.
And last night, when DD1 and DD2 alternated being awake and screaming (we recently flew overseas and are dealing with baby jet lag right now), I just kept remembering the "dance-party feeling" as it is now known. And it occurred to me that it really is the little things that will get us through this time.
I hope you all have your own dance-party moment!
Re: It's the little things that get you through
My DS has the most amazing laugh, and he's the happiest little guy who is always laughing. I always say to DH we need to get multiple videos of him laughing soon so we can remember this when he hits the terrible 2s and is throwing temper tantrums or driving us crazy as a teenager.
Aww I love this post! We have Pandora on our blueray player so a couple of times a week we put one some jams and DS and DD1 and I dance around the living room
They love it and I figure it helps burn off a few calories for me too! Of course I close the blinds so no one can see my horrible dance moves
