I need to set some new boundaries with food so it might be time for this prodigal daughter to return to Weight Watchers. I want to do it soon rather than wait 'til January. I've been reading about the new plan and I'm curious what everyone else thinks. I just hope it's not a gimmick where they haven't actually changed that much and it allows them to sell all new products. From what I can tell, it's a major overhaul.

Re: New Weight Watchers Points Plus program?
I think it's hard to say yet.
I think I am going to like the changes. The biggest change I see, aside from making most fruits and vegetables "free" foods, is that points are calculated completely differently. Calories are not taken into account, but rather the formula figures total fat, carbohydrates, protein and fiber to come up with an assigned value. I think this makes total sense because protein and carbs matter, and I think it will make a bigger difference in accountability, at least for me.
It's annoying to me from the perspective that I need to re-calculate the values of all my favorite, go-to foods, and I might not like the recalculation. That's a personal pet peeve, and honestly, if I don't like the new value, then I probably need to change some habits.
I think you should give it a go, you will have lots of support here.

Exactly this. I have spent a lot of the few free minutes I have had the past few days calculating the points for my usual/frequent foods.
This is definitely a major overhaul and not just a tweak.
