scheduled gender scan

EEEEEEEKKKKK!!! im so excited! Dec 18th is the day. A little earlier than I had wanted but we should still be able to tell something. I will be 15w3d so only 4 days before I had originally wanted but the angle of the parts should easily be distinguishable.

OP, will they do another one around 20 weeks or do they think they can see everything they need to (both the "anatomy scan" part and the sex determination) that early?

I was thinking she is paying for something special cause i know my Dr. wont do the anatomy scan before at least 18 weeks.

I think that everyone knows what the OP meant by this.  Seems like lately everything that is being said is "incorrect" and being nitpicked in some way.

are you all picking because I said "gender" instead of "sex"...LOL...i just call it gender scan b/c thats what the u/s place called it. And i do know the difference between gender and sex...ive been around awhile. Its an elective u/s that has nothing to do with my regular doc appts. I will still get my regular big u/s around 20 weeks with my OB. The elective u/s is paid OOP and is completely optional and is normally done at a seperate location than your doc office.

The one poster's comment was just funny because yesterday there was one post where someone was annoyed by people calling the anatomy scan a "gender scan," and another where someone was annoyed by people saying "gender" instead of "sex."  That's why the post asking if when you said "gender scan" you meant "anatomy scan where you might learn the sex" was funny.  We weren't picking on you!  Sorry if it came across that way!

That's cool that they'll try to figure out the sex for you early.  I hope baby cooperates!
