DH and I are barely talking names yet and will not share our choices in real life once we have made them. I happen to have a million friends due between now and June who are also not sharing their names - so at least one of the names i love for a boy, Owen, was just taken by a good friend. Clearly, I do not begrudge her the name but - darn it! If someone takes Lucy I will scream.

Re: it was bound to happen
[My Decorating Blog]
My husband has two best friends, the 3 of them have been the 3 amigos since junior high.
They both had babies last year, one in Dec and one in Feb. And they're both named Caleb! It hasn't caused any problems, it's been kind of fun to refer to our sweet Calebs.
Been away from theBump for a while, getting active again for all the good advice
oh dear. My two favorite names that i've loved for a while were taken in the last two years. The boys name by a not super close friends sister so not a big deal (though the hubs wasn't as in love with it as I was so its still off the board) and the girls name was stolen by a cousin!!! (not knowingly I'd never mentioned liking the name to anyone, just coincidence) but that means its DEFINITELY off the table. two calebs at a barbecue of friends is one thing... but two reaghans at every family gathering? probbaly not.
We've moved on and have a couple new names and who knows? my parents didn't even use the names they had picked out for all of us!
