Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Where to donate?

So I have some things I got for LO I never used and would like to donate but where to? I am sure I can search online for places but I want it to be a good place that really needs it. Any suggestions?

Re: Where to donate?

  • Women's Shelter (always my 1st choice since the women and children often have to leave an abuser w/o taking any belongings)

Parenting Outreach (local churches run them here to help parents w/very limmited resources)

  • I am glad I asked :) I wouldn't have thought of women shelter! Thanks!

  • Definitely the womens shelter. They are usually in huge need for baby items (especially clothes, diapers, and formula) and as a bonus (I would donate to them anyway) you get a reciept for the tax write off at the end of the year. I donate every few months and have a stack of reciepts on the fridge, value is somewhere around $300-400 I will get to write off this year (I will take what I can get)

  • I donate to local churches. My church has a clothing closet for people in need and another church is our local food bank. But they both accept items to help out families. A woman's shelter is also a really great place to donate.
  • Gabriel Project if you have one in your area.
