    We got married in Jamaica, and didn't get to chose the cake.. it was all planned/done by the resort but it is honestly the most delicious wedding cake I've ever had :) The flavor was traditional Caribbean.

    mmm We went to Jamaica for our honeymoon, did you happen to try the Jamaican patties?  We still don't really know what was in them( probably don't want to know) but they were GOOD! haha

    You know how most people save the top piece and eat for their first anniversary?  Mine was ruined when we had to evacuate for a hurricane.  To this day it still upsets me that we didn't get to share that piece of cake on our anniversary. Sad

    We didn't save our top tier. There wasn't anything appealing to me about the thought of year-old cake. We had our baker make a replica of the top tier for our anniversary.

    My colors were chocolate and Champagne and my cake showed up backwards....UGH...it was SUPPOSED to be chocolate with the champagne poka dots... :(

    My step mom bought us a "wedding day" Barbie and Ken... and insisted they make an appearance on our cake table. 

    I love your cake table! I totally intended to do something similar with old family wedding photos and never got my act together. You put it together very nicely.

    It isn't very fancy, but we did a cake at each table so fancy would have  gotten really expensive.

    We got married in the Florida Keys with 19 of our family and friends with us.  That is why the cake is only one tier.  It was white cake with strawberry filling and it was delicious Smile

    Wow, so many awesome and special cakes here!  Mine wasn't too unique(came with our venue package), but it was delicious.

    We planned to freeze our top layer for our 1 month anniversary, but DH forgot and sliced into it the day after our wedding,

    mmm We went to Jamaica for our honeymoon, did you happen to try the Jamaican patties?  We still don't really know what was in them( probably don't want to know) but they were GOOD! haha

    Haha, I want to say that we didn't... but that whole week was a blur. DH got really sick the night before we flew out, so he was puking, etc our entire way to the airport. We missed our connection on the way there, so arrived a day late. Lost our luggage. The wedding dress was sent away to be steamed and was "misplaced"... showed up 20 min before the wedding and FIL was hospitalized for kidney stones the day before the wedding. BUT the wedding day was absolutely gorgeous and mostly care free. We had an amazing time in Jamaica despite all that happened but I literally did not eat the first 3 days we were there because I was running here, there, and everywhere to finalize everything for the wedding (arriving a day late threw everything off).

    But anyway... Where did you go in Jamaica for the honeymoon? We were in Montego Bay.

    Whoa girl that is CRAZY! Glad the wedding day went well.   We were in Montego Bay also, at the Sandals resort.

    Were you at the Royal Caribbean?? That is where we got married :) My parents are there right now actually...
