I was lurking here the other night and the name Madeline popped up. I brought it up to DH and he loved it. (for our hypothetical second child if she's a girl. And it goes well with Simon.
Now onto the dreaded MN question. Since we have pretty much decided on that name. We can't in good conscious use the use the middle name we had picked out. Lynn. I cannot name a kid Madeline Lynn, I just can't. Any good middle name suggestions? WDYT of Madeline Vanna? (it's a variation of my maiden name)
Names already off the table are Joyce, Hope, Rose, Lilly, and Marie
Re: Thanks Baby Name Board! (also a mn question)
Give us more guidance. What initially drew you to Lynn? Is it a family name? Do you prefer a one-syllable name? A name that has double letters in it, like Lynn?
Vanna doesn't seem to flow.
Ummm I know a huge fan of Vanna with Madeline.
Lynn is my moms middle name. I do like one syllable middle names but a two syllable name would work too, we have a one syllable last name that starts with S. I don't really care weather or not it has double letters.
Ok, you got me. Who???
To the OP- how about Louise? It keeps the "L" from Lynn and has the same Frenchness as Madeline without sounding too foreign.
I'm not so fond of Vanna (Vanna White much?). But I totally adore Madeline! Good choice!!!
Although Lynn doesn't work well with Madeline, I do like the -lyn sound paired with Madeline... So I'm thinking a similar sounding name such as...
Madeline Evelyn
Madeline Catherine
Madeline Jacqueline/ Jaclyn/ Jocelyn
Madeline Rosalind/ Rosalyn
