DS likes watching movies at home and can often sit through much of a movie. DH took DS to see Toy Story 3 in the summer, so DS would have been almost 2.5, and he lasted about 25 minutes total. Once the previews were over, that was only about 10 minutes of the actual movie. After that he was too distracted and just wanted to explore.
We haven't yet, and I'm fairly certain we won't be for a while. DD can sit through most of Shrek, but I don't think she'll sit long enough in a movie theater.
I think my child is the world's youngest movie buff! He loves going to the theater! He has sat through Toy Story 3 at 18 months and on Friday we took him see Tangled and he watched the entire thing!
We took DS to see Toy Story 3 and he did great. He sat in his own seat for part, sat on my lap for part, then back in his own seat. I took snacks for him and his cup with a juice/water combo and he did great.
DH took Jude to Toy Story 3 in June, so he was nearly 2.5. He said he did well and then decided about a half hour from the end, he wanted to leave and passed out in the car!
