Trying to Get Pregnant

Confused & Frustrated...?

DH and I have been TTC going on 4 months. I have wacky periods, my cycles are between 22-25 days. We have been doing the whole counting 14 days after your period and have been trying a lot when we think it's time, and still no luck?..... I've never been on Birth Control, I had one Ovary Cyst about 6 years ago. We are just bumming because obviously we're not counting right or something. Any tips or suggestions??? :(

    1.  Those are far from wacky.  A bit short maybe, but not wacky.

    2.  That 14 day counting this is totally worthless.  With such a short cycle I'd guess you O closer to CD 10 maybe?

    3.  Read Taking Charge of Your Fertility

this exactly! Fertility Friend is super helpful in explaining how you ovulate and when based on cervical mucus and recording your temps. Read all the lessons on FF and good luck!

  • Do you chart? Click on my link. It will help you pinpoint your ovulation a lot better. GL!

  • Fertility friend is definitely a great resource.  It'll actually pinpoint when you ovulate.  Not every woman has the same cycles and yours might be a little different than the norm.  Knowing when you typically ovulate will help a lot :)

    Good luck!

  • Start taking your temp and charting in Fertility Friend (you can click my ticker to sign up).  This will help you learn a lot about your body.  Counting does not always work.  The only way to know if/when you ovulated is by charting.

  • Posting on the Trouble TTC board after 3/4 months of trying ins't the best idea either.  Many of those ladies have been trying for WELL over a year.

I'm not looking for an immature board room arguement, I have better things to do. Please move on to a different post if mine are bothering you so much. Thanks

To everyone else Thanks for the suggestions on the Fertility Friend, I'm signing up right now, it looks like it will be really helpful! :)  Also just ordered the Taking Charge book off of Amazon. I couldn't find it when i last went to Borders.

Ummmm, KDG gave you some pretty good advice so I don't know what your problem is. Her first post was very helpful and she was completely right about you posting on tttc.

::sigh:: I did give good advice--the same advice everyone else gave you.  You did ask this question 2 months ago and got the same good advice.  I was passing along a helpful hint about posting on the Trouble TTC board when you've been TTC for 3/4 months.  I was in no way shape or form arguing with you.  If you took it as such, well, there is nothing I can do about that.

FWIW, and no, I'm not being snarky.  There is a quote button at the bottom of each post so you don't have to actually address who you are talking to.

  • Wow. Really? Not getting in a fight on here. It's ridiculous. I didn't mean to offend anyone just posting a ? like 1000's of other people do.

  • You can delete this whole post if you want....

Edit: I guess OP blocked me since I can't see any of her posts anymore.  I thought you deleted just your first message OP--ignore the previous comment.

You didn't offend anyone. :) Kdg was just giving you some tips. Good luck with everything.

  • My cycle is fairly short too 24-26 days and O day is around CD 15.  What I found helpful was charting your temp in Fertility Friend, but also using an ovulation predictor kit so that you can see how your temps align with what the kit is telling you.  GL!
