Question

As some of you may know from my other few posts, my husband and I have been trying for a baby since late August. Since I've gone off my birth control my cycle went from 25 days to 35 days. I'm on day 34 of my next cycle and I noticed just yesterday some light, brown red spotting that yesterday only lasted for about an hour then nothing for the rest of the night. Nothing major only really enough to see when I wipe. Around noon today I noticed it again but this time it's lasted for several hours. I've been cramping slightly for the last few days like I was about to start my cycle, and while I know my body might do strange things now that I'm off the pill, I have never spotted before my period before. It was always one of those that I would just suddenly notice wetness and would have to run to the ladies room to put in a tampon.

So my question is (and I guess I just want confirmation on what I've been reading online) what exactly might be going on? I have an account with the Fertility Friend website like previously advised and so far my temperature has been all over the board with no recorded ovulation. I was poking around the net and read something about implantation bleeding and as much as I would like this to be the case, I'm not holding my breath. I took a test yesterday right before I noticed the spotting because I've been having to urinate a lot and I've been crabby, cramping and bloating for several days. The test came back negative and that was when I noticed the bleeding. It's just so out of the ordinary for me I figured I'd throw the idea out and see what other people know about this or see if anyone had had a similar incident.

It doesn't look like you've ovulated yet, BUT, you are missing quite a few temps.

I have heard, and again this is very rare, that some women bleed around Ovulation.  Not saying thats what it is though.

Had you had sex any time close to the bleeding?

 This has been happening to me too since I went off the pill about four months ago. I will get spotting usually for two days (first brown sometimes, then red) It will be just a little for two days, and then AF comes the third. So my thought is that this is just how your cycle might be too. It's totally normal.

In regards to the sex around the time of bleeding, yes we did last night after I stopped bleeding.

As for the whole normal cycle thing, it might be but I just found it strange since the last few cycles off the pill haven't been like that and it was never the case on the pill or even before the pill. That's why I just found it strange. 

As for my chart, it's a bit off I know because I only just started recording my temps, and it is a bit hard sometimes seeing as how I'm in the military. There are nights I only get 4 hours of sleep and on rare occasions I'm so tired when I get up, I forget to reach over and grab my thermometer till I'm already in the bathroom getting dressed. Just out of curiosity this afternoon, I took my temp just to see what my normal running temp was and it came back 97.3, which is my normal. I've always run cold, which makes me wonder if all those days that I wake up and I'm warmer than my normal running temp, if those aren't possible days of ovulation.

I never spotted before my period until I got off BC - now I've been off over a year and I always spot pinkish brownish about 2-3 days before AF.
