He'll get those pictures taken this Saturday at his party. I'm not going to buy a separate cake for him to smash.. I'm just going to give him a corner piece of the cake everyone else will have.
I just barely took mine at home because I wanted to use it for his invitations. I think they came out pretty good. I bought a roll of seamless paper at the local camera shop and set it up in my kitchen. I made the cake myself, and my daughter helped decorate it. Here's my favorite of the bunch:
I don't know what's up with my siggy and I am too lazy to figure it out.

OMG - that is so cute. How much was the seamless paper?
I'm hiring a photographer to come to his party. But I've seen some nice ones done at JCPenny. If she wasn't so reasonable I would probably do that Good Luck.

Not trying to butt in but thought I'd answer your question seamless paper is about $24 for a 53" roll.
I plan to take my own pictures as well, running way behind on it because how hectic life is for us right now.
We had them done after our Christmas pictures @ the photographer. I am picking up the CD on Friday. Here is one they posted (before the cake)
