I just read a REALLY long thread about the Evenflo Maestro and it seemed that the biggest downfall would be that the headrest doesn't adjust, so the kid will outgrow the seat before they are able to use the shoulder belt positioner in booster mode. Since you just bought one, did they update that? Is the headrest still not adjustable?
