Does anyone have an recs, preferably at Riley for a Developmental Specialist? Ryan has low oral and physical muscle tone and now, they are saying it could be due, in part, to the awful labor and delivery I had...I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row. They are suggesting we go see a developmental specialist, so I thought I would ask if anyone has had to work with one before.
Re: Developmental Physician
That would be GREAT. I have no idea where to turn at this point, but from what the Physical Therapist said, this may be a good direction to go to determine whether his problems are physical or neurological

We see Dr. Maria Stanley at Riley. We've been seeing her since James was 12 months. She's very nice and takes her time with you. (so we like to get early appointments!) She has an office at Clarian North in Carmel too. (Much easier than going to Riley downtown!)
I don't know if he is considered a developmental pedi, but I really really love Dr. Escobar.
He's really conservative, and that's why I love him. He really does not sweat the small stuff, but I feel that he knows when to worry and when not to worry. He seems really smart.
