If you have a steam mop and tile floors

Does it work well on tile and  grout? I'm sick to death of regular mops grossing up my grout.

  • We have one of the Shark's, got it from Target for less than $100, and we like it. It doesn't seem to scrub up the some of the hard stuff very well, but that could just be me being impatient and trying to go to fast with it. I like it because it sanitizes and that'll come in handy when J becomes mobile. We have cats, so our floors get dusty, littery, pretty quick.

I have huskies, hard stuff isn't my problem, just fur and dirt in the grout.

  • As long as you sweep or vacuum beforehand it will clean the grout.  I have a long haired cat and I don't have any hair in the grout at all.  The only time dirt becomes a problem is if I wait too long to mop but, I think that's the case with any kind of mop.

I really like ours a lot!  When this one breaks I will totally be buying another one and I've had this one for 3 years.

  • I have 2 huskies and we LOVE our shark steam mop.  Must sweep beforehand, but it is super quick.  I would think anything beyond the standard floor accumulation might require more real scrubbing on the grout though (like anything staining, goopy, etc)..
  • if you dont have one yet- i would HIGHLY suggest the Vac and Steams.

does both with one machine. it is a must with pets. unless you want to vacuum/sweep first and then steam.

No problem- i did a lot of research before deciding which one to get- we have two cats and hardwood and tile through out most of the house. i don't have spare time to be doing extra stuff- so i went with the Vac&Steam. I love the thing. cut down on so much time in cleaning.

  • I have the H2O steam mop and I love it!  Apparently you can get one now that has a handheld cleaner attached.  I wish I had that option to clean kitchen cupboards and bathroom walls.  It is one of the best cleaning things I own, and will definitely buy another when it bites the dust.
