Hi there! I've posted here randomly in the past but have never been brave enough to ask what I'm here to ask today...
I have VERY heavy periods and have to use Super tampons for the first 2-3 days, over the past year I've noticed that I cramp a lot with tampons and have decided to go back to pads. I'm concerned about the waste pads create (just like disposable diapers) and am interested in using cloth but am not sure how well they will work for my heavy periods.
I know the Diva Cup is highly recommended around here but it's not something I'm ready to try, I'm worried about having cramping issues like I have with tampons.
Is there a cloth brand that you can recommend for very heavy periods? Do you find you need to change a cloth pad more often than a disposable pad? Any info you want to share in relation to cloth?
TIA!
Re: TMI: Need recs for Mama cloth
Have you tried more EF tampons? I use 7th Gen.
I only use cloth liners, but I really like mine from Homestead Emporium (on HyenaCart I believe). They're really well made & very soft. I imagine their heavier pads would be of comparable quality.
GL - I hope you find something that works for you!

I thought about using EF tampons but the cramping became an issue. I don't like to medicate unless absolutely necessary and using tampons has made it necessary. I would rather switch to pads than medicate. I will check out Homestead Emporium tonight.
How many pads should I keep on hand?
