December 2010 Moms

I'm home.

Without a baby.  Still having ctx 4-5 minutes apart.  Seriously struggling.  I just keep reminding myself that all the pain will be worth it when I hold that baby.  Right?  Crying  I was so excited to meet him or her and then BAM.  Nothing.  My doctor feels terrible, she was so sure it was the real thing, too.  Sigh.  Hang in there ladies!  We are all so close!

Re: I'm home.

  • Can you use the term c*ck tease for a baby?  What would the term be?  Cervix tease?

But seriously, sorry you are in and out so much! That must be so frustrating!

  • Sorry the baby is teasing you, but looks like overall it's a good thing for him/her to cook just a little bit more.

  • Bummer! I can't imagine how frustrated you must be. Maybe with you home and being a little more relaxed than in the hospital it will get things going (hopefully!).

Yes   Totally agreed.  Even a few days is a good thing :)

  • I'm sorry that things aren't progressing for you right now. :( I hope baby decides to show up soon!!
I used to be a big deal.  Now I'm just old.
  • What a whirlwind of things going on, at least things are good enough for you and LO to be sent home!

Best of luck for some extra nights sleep in your own bed rather than a hospital bed!!

  • I hardly post, but wanted to say that I went through something like this for my first pregnancy.  I had super painful contractions every 3-5 minutes for 30 hours, and was turned away at the hospital 2x since they said I was still in "false" labor. I was so frustrated because I live far from the hospital, plus the contractions were so painful that I couldn't imagine them being any worse when I was in "real" labor.  On the third visit on the same day, they finally took pity on me and admitted me for some technicality (they turned me on my side and it made the baby's heartrate drop for a tiny second on the monitors).  I call it the "mercy" admission  ^_^  Once they admitted me, they induced me and Leah was born about 12 hours later.  I later found out this is what's known as prodormal labor, but oh, I was so mad and frustrated everytime they told me it was false labor :(
  • :-( sorry LO is giving you the run-around. Take it easy and try to rest as much as you can!
