Do the names flow? Sound good together?

We're trying to pick out a boy name that we like, but we can't seem to agree on anything.  I like more unique or traditional Italian names, but they don't seem to blend well with out very American last name.  Also, some of the names I really like don't blend well with Curtis, but we're set on using that as the middle name.  Any advice, suggestions, or feedback would be much appreciated.

I am very fond of italian names so Matteo, Giovanni and Dominic are by far my favorites

I really like Gavin, Matteo and Roman.  Gavin is my favorite and Vin is a cute nn.  Matteo is nice and allows for a more American nn - Matt.  Roman could use the nn Ro.

Dominic Curtis-- I love the name Dominic, but having the C in Dominic up against the C in Curtis doesn't flow the best

Dylan Curtis-- names flow well, but Dylan definitely doesn't fit the bill for an Italian name ... it is one of those names that is ok but I don't love

Gavin Curtis-- Again, names flow well, but doesn't sound Italian.  I like Gavin better than Dylan.

Matteo Curtis-- flows well, I like the name

Giovanni Curtis-- Now here's a name I think of as Italian (I have no idea if it really is! : ))  I like it.

Troy Curtis-- nope.  Don't like that at all.

Maverick Curtis-- oooo, worse than Troy.

Rowan/Roman Curtis-- I like both first names, but Roman sounds more Italian... I think it flows nicely w/ Curtis.

Please don't name your son Maverick. That's just plain awful!

I love Dominic, Matteo, Gionvanni, Rowan, and Roman.

Troy and Dylan are okay.

Gavin is just way too wussy for my taste.

I'm surprised Matteo and Giovanni received positive reviews!  You can tell which were my picks out of the list (Italian-ish) and which came from the hubby.  My favorite is Dominic, I'm just concerned the double C makes it not a choice.  I want the name to flow, but I also don't want to pick a name just because it flows nicely.  I want to love it! 

 

I think we've officially knocked Troy and Maverick out of the running.  The other thing is that our last name is very American and I don't want the name to seem awkward with an Italian name like Giovanni and a last name like Smith.  Does that really matter?  hmmm....

I wouldn't worry about the double C with Dominic and Curtis.  How often are middle names really used anyway?  If you love it, go for it!

My personal picks would be Gavin and Matteo.

I think Dylan Curtis and Gavin Curtis are the best from your list. My 3rd fav is Rowan Curtis.
