Hair pulling question

O has just started to pull his own hair, and he pulls at it a lot. He grabs the hair just above his ears and yanks. I notice it mostly when he's tired. Has anyone else's LO done this? I keep worrying that it's not a normal sleepy cue and is something that I should be nervous about. As if I need something more to worry about...

Q not only pulls his own hair, he also scratches his scalp...both when he's tired and in his sleep

My sister did that as a kid. I think it's a normal tired signal.

My LO does it from time to time too- just when he's having a bottle before bed, I take it as a tired signal too.

K twirls her hair (and mine) when she's tired, nursing, or looking for comfort. Sometimes she wakes up with her hair twirled into a loose knot on one side :)

We don't have a hair puller, but a hair twirler. Definitely a sleepy cue for us. He only will do it while eating or when he's almost asleep. Now, pulling my hair? He does that ALL the time, I have a feeling I will be rocking the ponytail for quite awhile. Stick out tongue
