Our kids will be 1/2 Caucasian (Italian + Polish) + 1/2 Indian, so our 1st's name is Mahlia, which I thought was indicative of just a beautiful girl + no race or ethnicity particularly. (Weirdly, I have a hang up when a name does not represent the kid, i.e., my first name is common in both Poland and Italy + my last name is Italian.)
Consequently, I'd like her brother or sister's name to (a) go with Mahlia; (b) have a good nickname (we use Lili, Mia, Lia); (c) be unusual as well; and (d) go with a common last name.
Any thoughts on the following names, bearing in mind the above, are REALLY appreciated:
Girl: Julianna (is the only one we agree on); husband likes Claire, Abigail, Tabitha, Penelope, Fiona (which I think are too British +/or Irish/Celtic?); I like Annalise (he dislikes)
Boy: Benjamin, Oliver, Henry, Matthew, Zachary
Thanks!
