Limb Moms

P has started grabbing toys and picking things up somewhat recently.  It got me thinking and wondering if ABS congenital amputees have something of a phantom limb syndrome?  Although his lower arm and hand didn't develop very far, all the bones and skin (and nerves, i assume) are present, so I wonder if he thinks he has the ability to grasp with that side, when in physical reality he cannot.

 Any thoughts on that?  Makes me wish I'd paid better attention in my developmental bio class...
