Gas Pains FTL

Yes, I am posting about gas pains. Enjoy.

I had a "Am I in labor?!  Holy poo I hope I'm not in labor!!!!!"  episode last night.

You've had gas pains, I'm sure.  You know that stabbing, ripping feeling you get?  Well it showed up last night when DH took me to see a movie for the first time in months.  It hurt so much worse than normal gas pains though, I'm guessing because every time LO moved he smushed the air in there.  I was slightly terrified that I was in real labor and that it was going to be that painful the whole time and only get more intense!   There's no way I could go med free if it was going to be like that.  

I know that labor pains can feel like gas pains, but they didn't match up with any of the contractions I was having and they went away when we got home and I got to lie down.  

I swear though, every time I have some sort of pain around the same time I have a contraction I think OMG please don't let me be in labor, that REALLY hurts!!  I'm such a wuss...

I can sympathize.  I've been having gas pains for the past couple of weeks, and they can be really painful.  I've had this issue intermittently even before I became pregnant, so luckily I could tell what the pains were and haven't really been freaked that they might be contractions.  My thought has been, "Man, if these hurt, I wonder what real contractions are like?  Yowza!"

yeah I got a charley horse the other day and lost it. If I can't handle that I know I can't handle labor. I just try not to thinking about it and just keep telling my self I am going to be the only girl in the world that has a pain free labor without meds

uh-uh...not the only one.  I plan to be pain and med free as well.  Don't steal my dreams.

lol Thanks, Bubbles.   I can't figure out what would have given me gas, all I had eaten so far was toast with pb&j, and a lovely slice of leftover turkey. Not at the same time, mind you.
