I hate that feeling.  Try drinking warm water, it helps get the gas moving.  I heat some water up in the microwave for like 40 seconds or so and drink it as soon as I can tolerate it and not burn my mouth.

Sure, that should work.  It's something to do with the warmth of the liquid, so yeah, that should do the trick.  I'm not much of a tea drinker, so I didn't think of that!
