AW: GOOD PPL DO EXIST!!!!

So it has taken me MUCH time to accept the fact that my mom is unable to come over for the birth of my first child and her first grandchild. It was slightly devastating but she is a single parent going to school full-time and financially it's just not an option. Even with DH and I offering to pay as much of it as we could...holiday tickets are expensive and she couldn't afford the extra.  A good friend of mine's mother spoke with my mom last night and said that she'd like to pay for a ticket for my mom to come for the birth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can you believe that!? My friend's mom has only met me once and out of the kindness of her heart is making this amazing and super special thing a possibility. I can't even put into words how overwhelmed and thankful I am at the sheer thought of my mom being here! GOOD PEOPLE DO EXIST!

I'm so happy for you! I know how much it means. My mom is 3000 miles away and I haven't seen her since july. I was devastated when I thought she wouldn't be able to come...and now... I'm so glad she'll be here in 16 days! IDK what I would do if I didn't know that... it's the only thing that has kept me going... I would be freaking out like crazy if I thought I was going to have to do this without her.

That is so sweet! I got all teary eyed reading your post. My mom lives 12 minutes from me and I see her weekly (if not more) and talk to her through email or on the phone AT LEAST 3-4 times a week so I can't even imagine not having her around. I am so happy for you

Christmas Angel indeed! 

My mom gets to stay for 10 whole days and has had family members volunteer to help with my sister and check in on my brother while she's out of town.

Plus now my mom can bring over a bunch of the American products I've been missing so much. YAY!

Most importantly though...she isn't going to have to wait an indefinite period of time before meeting her first grandbaby!!!!
