Trying to Get Pregnant

Removing IUD

Hello,

I am new and would like to get some feed back. I have had the IUD without hormones for about 3 years. I am having it removed Monday. We hopping that it will be a quick turn around and that we can get pregnant fast.

Have any of you had any experience with this?

Re: Removing IUD

  • I had my IUD out last month.  It was Mirena (the one with hormone in it), but as far as I understand you can get pregnant right away regardless of which IUD it was.  I don't know for sure, this is our first month trying.  Good luck to you, though!!

  • I had a IUD, removed it just over 4 months ago now. I have also heard that you can get PG right away, as well as it can take a while, just like anything/anyone. Just let your body get back to where it should be and have fun....no really just have fun ;)

Also take some Tylenol before your appointment. I heard some girls "not really feel it" and others need the rest of the day to rest up. I had some crampish feelings, and laid low for the day.

  • I had my copperT removed 7 months ago. It was pretty painless and my heavy periods went away. I am still trying so I am not sure what the issue is. Good luck and welcome.
