I need some new Christmas books. We have very few, and Liam's really excited about Christmas, Santa, etc. this year, so I want to get some new books. Definitely on my list are "The Night Before Christmas" (although it looks like there are a million versions) and "Max's Christmas". We have a few of the Usborne touchy feely ones, which are great, and lots of Target dollar bin type books.
What other Christmas books do you love?
Re: Favorite Christmas books?
My favorite Christmas book growing up was Santa Mouse. In fact, I have our original copy, complete with obnoxious pencil sketches all over it from my brother. LOL. I just read it to Holly today. I think I might get her a new copy.
We also have the old school Frosty the Snowman Golden Book--I think the copy I have was printed in 1975. :-)
The books we have in our stack (the ones I like the most) are:
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Golden Book)
The Night Before Christmas (Golden Book)
Bear Stays Up for Christmas (Karma Wilson)
If You Take a Mouse to the Movies (Laura Numeroff)
The Sweet Smell of Christmas (Golden Book)
Snowmen at Christmas (Caralyn Beuhner)
The Polar Express (Chris van Allsburg)
